Mask Making Competition organized

Jammu, Oct 20: The Red Ribbon Club of G.G.M Science College in association with J&K AIDS control society, H&ME Department, Jammu, J&K UT organized an intra college Mask Making Contest under the patronage of worthy Principal Dr. Ravinder Tickoo on 20th October 2021.
This awareness campaign was organized for an implementation plan for New India @75. As we all know that this Covid-19 Pandemic has made the use of face masks mandatory and keeping in mind the purpose of wearing a mask as it helps to prevent the spread of Corona virus this competition was conducted. Students of the college showed active participation in the event and projected their creativity by making different types of handmade masks. The Participants were judged by Dr. Rahul Kait ( Asst. Prof. Zoology) and Prof. Preeti Dogra (Asst. Prof. EVS). Avleen Kour clinched first position, Sonia Salgotra bagged second position and Ritika secured third position. The winners will be rewarded with cash prizes of Rs 1000/-, Rs 750/- and Rs 500/- respectively.
Principal of the college Dr. Ravinder Tickoo appreciated the efforts of all the participants and encouraged upon the use of face masks to contain Covid-19. The event was organised by Dr. Chanchal Angral, Convener of the Red Ribbon Committee and co-ordinated by the members of the Red Cross Committee Prof. Anshu Sawhney, Prof. Shradha Anand, Prof. Kiran Bala, Prof. Neeti Chhibber and Prof. Asha Sharma. NCC ANO (Capt.) Anjana Sharma and NSS PO Dr. Narinder Kumar also worked actively for the success of this event.
