| After rains, vital Gujjar Nagar bridge turns single lane; authorities in slumber | | |

Jammu, Oct 24: Saturday’s rainfall has damaged the vital Gujjar Nagar Bridge to an extent that it has turned one-lane.
Despite this bridge being one of the key bridges in Jammu City not much attention has been paid towards its maintenance. “The government is claiming that new projects are coming up and J&K is on the path of development. But no attention being paid towards the present infrastructure has punctured the development claims,” said a resident.
He said that the weather had improved on Sunday. The authorities could have started the work to at least fill in the potholes that have developed due to the recent rainfall. “It seems helmsmen are least bothered about the difficulties being faced by a common man,” the resident added. |
