Early Times Report

Jammu, Oct 24: The non seriousness on the part of the Telecom Company as well as the Public Work (Road and Building) Department Reasi can be gauged from the fact that former dug out road for lying down cable and left it unrepaired and later shunned its responsibility and turned into mute spectator.
The locals of Reasi alleged that Telecom Company dug out a road in the middle to lay down cable for communication but it has not been filled up which has turned into nallah making it difficult for vehicles to cross it.
“This dug out road has virtually become a danger point for every motorist and has the potential to cause accidents as well as damage to vehicles,” the locals alleged.
Although it has been seen that people have put soil to fill up the dugout part but after a few days or if it rains problem occurs again, they informed.
They alleged that if a common man had dug out the road, the department would have lodged an FIR against him but in the case of the Telecom Company, it has become mute spectator. Reliable sources informed that the Telecom Company had paid Rs 7000 to the PWD for its repair but till no filling up of road has been done, which shows that the department is hardly bothered to mitigate the problem.
“Despite informing about this problem to the department, the PWD has been shunning its responsibility putting people into great inconvenience,” they alleged further adding that this is not the only case here, such problems can be seen across Reasi district.
