JAMMU, Nov 11: Sarv Shakti Sena (SSS) has felicitated Padma Shri awardee Jitender Singh Shunty who is the President, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Sewa Dal for receiving the prestigious award under the category 'social work' and bringing laurels to Jammu in particular and the union territory in general.
In a statement, SSS National President, Neeraj Sethi and J&K President Rajan Gupta said that Shunty has been a prominent name in the field of social service having an unstinted record of reaching out to the needy and helpless sections of the society. They said that during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic Shunty relentlessly provided succour to poor people in multiple ways besides contributing a lot by running ambulances to ferry and cremate dead bodies especially in case of Covid deaths. |
