Jindrah, Nov 15: The NSS unit of Government Degree College (GDC) Jindrah conducted Swachhata Abhiyaan under #CleanIndia at Devak, the site adopted by NSS Unit of GDC Jindrah.
The The activity was done under the banner of ‘Azaadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’.
Dr. Sunil Sharma, Program officer, NSS Unit of GDC Jindrah supervised the whole drive and Dr. Seema, Librarian and member of NSS team compiled and reported the event. Prof. Rajshree Dhar, Principal, GDC, Jindrah applauded the continuous efforts of the NSS team and volunteers in organizing the cleanliness drives in the area.
The NSS volunteers along with staff and team visited the site and clean the area while adhering to COVID protocol. The locals of the area were also made aware of the cleanliness drive impact and were made learned to throw garbage in the dustbin, ban usage of plastic bags and dumping green waste separately, so that it can be composted. The locals gave a very patient hearing to the NSS volunteers and team and also appreciated the efforts made by them . They also took oath to maintain cleanliness in and around the surroundings of Devak.
