DGPC to hold Gurmat Samagam on Parkash Purab of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji

JAMMU, Nov 16: President, District Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (DGPC) Jammu, Jagjit Singh informed the Sangat of Jammu and Kashmir that the 552nd Parkash Purab of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj who spread teachings of eternal love, peace, equality and brotherhood across the globe will be celebrated on November 19. Addressing a press conference here today, Jagjit Singh said that the Parkash Purab of Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji will be celebrated by organizing a Mahan Gurmat Samagam at Gurdwara Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, Chand Nagar, Jammu from 10.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. Guru Ka Langer (Free Blessed Kitchen) will be served.
This year keeping in view the pandemic COVID-19, the administration has not permitted to organize Nagar Kirtan (Religious Procession), he added.
In the Gurpurab Samagam Mahant Manjit Singh Ji, Mukhi, Shiromani Dera Nangali Sahib Poonch, Sant Tejwant Singh Ji, Mukhi, Dera Sant Pura Danna, Guru Nanak Nagar, Jammu, Bhai Harpreet Singh Ji, Kathawachak, Amritsar, Bhai Mohinder Singh Ji, Ragi Jatha, Delhi Wale, Bhai Bikramjeet Singh Ji, Hazoori Ragi, Sri Darbar Sahib, Sri Amritsar, Bhai Harbhinder Singh Ji, Incharge, Sikh Mission, J&K, Bhai Harpreet Singh Ji Chohala, Bhai Davinder Singh Ji Khalsa, Bhai Balbir Singh, Bhai Surinder Pal Singh Ji of DGPC Jammu, Bhai Ranjeet Singh Ji UP of Digiana Ashram will recite the Gurbani, Kirtan and Sikh History on the occasion. Management of Gurdwara Sahibs of Jammu is requested to conclude their programmes up to 11 a.m. on 19th so that devotees may reach at the main function.
The devotees are enjoined upon to participate in the Mahan Gurmat Samagam with traditional gaiety and fervor.
