Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 16: The Jammu Kashmir Teachers' Forum (JKTF) has once again spoken regarding the Kashmiri Pandit (KP) fraternity, who are working in different departments of Kashmir Division especially in School Education Department.
The organization leaders were present in a conference of JKTF at Pulwama to discuss the concerns and released a press statement which reads, "They (the Pandits) are our brothers and sisters and we have worked together, not only this generation, but since times immemorial the three major communities vis-á-vis Hindu, Muslims and Sikhs, have lived together like one family and shared the joys and sorrows of each other as one family. There needs to be the re-establishment of that same passion, enthusiasm and zeal that has been kept lit even in the wildest of storms."
"Let us face all odds while keeping in view the future and career of our upcoming generations and contribute to the society so that we may be remembered long after we are gone", the statement further reads.
It also said, "As nation builders we have some responsibilities that need to be shouldered with utmost dedication, sincerity and valour. The organization promises that we shall request the administration to assure your safety and security. But let us serve the purpose for which we have been chosen by the providence."
The members present in the conference, which was chaired by the President Muhammad Akbar Khan, reiterated their belief that, "together we can, and we will make a difference."
The other leaders who were present on the occasion were Muhammad Ishaq Ganaie, Arsalaan Habib, Farooq Ahmad Sofi, Muhammad Shafi Rather, Abdul Rashid Lone, Bashir Ahmad Thoker and others.
