Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 17: An emergency meeting of Various Sikh Organizations J&K held under the chairmanship of Mohinder Singh Chief Organizer Bhai Kanaya Nishkam Sewa Society J&K and ex-member District Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee Jammu.
In the meeting the Jammu Kashmir Sikh Organizations hailed the decision of Government of India to reopen the Kartarpur Sahib langa (corridor) which was closed during the COVID-19 and thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah for this act of opening the Kartarpur Sahib langa keeping in view the Parkash Utsav (birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev ji). The Sikh community was eagerly waiting for reopening of Kartarpur langa as all the Sikhs pray in daily sermons for sight of holy places of worship from which they have been separated during the partition of India and Pakistan in 1947.
The Sikhs living in all-over India are feeling delighted by the decision of government of India to reopen the path to cross over to Pakistan via Kartarpur Sahib langa.
The opening of Kartarpur langa is not only meant for religious beliefs of Sikh community but it is a matter of closeness of two neighbouring countries.
Guru Nanak Dev ji preached for peace and brotherhood among the humanity and said in the messages that all human beings are equal and creations of one God. In present world it is the need of the hour to follow the preachings of Guru Nanak Dev ji.
