Day long farmers training camp held at Tarmara

UDHAMPUR, Nov 23: A one day farmers training Camp was today organised by Agriculture Department Udhampur under the guidance of Chief Agriculture Officer Sanjay Anand here here at village Tarmara of Panchayat Dhanoa Block Jaganoo under organic Cluster Capex budget 2021-22.
As many as 50 cluster members participated in the camp. The farmers were advised to switch to Organic Farming by using organic fertilizers and bio pesticides . Farmers were asked to construct Vermi-units and roof water harvesting tanks to explore the full potential of nature. Further, they were asked to promote vegetable farming and other cash crops to double their income by 2022 as desired by the Prime Minister of India.
Sub Divisional Agriculture Officer, Rajesh Gandotra informed the farmers about the benefits of Organic farming and the Departmental schemes in detail. Among others, S P Jyoti (AEO Bradian); Veerinder Padha ( Technical Officer Sub Div Udhampur); Rajinder Pasrshad AEA, Pankaj Sharma AEA and Rakesh Verma AEA were present on the occasion.
