Awareness camp on Forest Rights Act-2006 held at Marchola

RAJOURI, Nov 23: An awareness camp on Forest Rights Act-2006 awareness camp was conducted by Chairman Sub Divisional Level Committee Sunderbani at Panchyat Marchola. Bal Krishan Chairman Block Development Council, Siot was the chief guest on the occasion. The camp was organized by Rakesh Verma, Range Forest Officer Sunderbani. Vinod Baniyal, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Sunderbani (Chairman Sub Divisional Level Committee, Sunderbani) gave brief introduction about the Act and its implementation. While speaking on the occasion, he explained in detail from filling of application from to presenting the complete file before Sub Divisional Level Committee for further consideration. The awareness camp was attended by Sarpanch Marchola Sukhdev Kour, all Panchs of Panchyat Marchola, members of Forest Rights Act Committee Marchola, Aditya Kerni, Naib Tehsildar Sunderbani, Rangeel Singh Block Forest Officer Sunderbani, Ved Parkash Block Forest Officer Dharamsal/Devak and beneficiaries of Forest Right Act.
Rakesh Verma, Range Forest Officer Sunderbani held an interactive session with members of PRIs & FRC. While speaking, he threw light on preparation of Forest Right Act claim files for both individual and Community claims. He also told them the documents which are to be considered in support of both Community and Individual claims. He asked the members to fill all the community claims as early as possible so that they can be considered in Sub Divisional Level Committee for further submission to Divisional Level Committee. The Block Forest Officer Sunderbani and Dharamsal/Devak, Gram Sava Marchola, Patwari concerned along with field staff was directed to prepare all the files as early as possible.
Vinod Banyal, Additional Deputy Commissioner Sunderbani also threw light on "APKI ZAMIN APKI NIGRANI" and informed them it should be given wide publicity so that everyone knows how to get benefitted.
Bal Krishan Chairman Block Development Council, Siot, appreciated the efforts of Sub Divisional Level Committee, Sunderbani for conducting awareness camp for the implementation of Forest Right Act.
