GGM Science College celebrates Culture Unity Day

JAMMU, Nov 23: NSS unit GGM Science College under the patronage of Principal Dr Ravender Tickoo and guidance of NSS PO, Dr Deepali Mahajan celebrated Culture Unity Day under the aegis of Quomi Ekta week as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
The event opened with the welcome speech by NSS PO, Dr Deepali Mahajan. Patriotic songs and dancing was the highlight. Lightening of lamp, Sarswati Vandna by Prerna Sayal, NSS Song by Ritish Vaid started the cultural fest. The volunteers Raghav, Nikita, Shifali, Ritish, Prerna enthusiastically sang inspirational patriotic songs and showed Dogra and Punjabi cultures. Poetry in Hindi, Dogri and Urdu by Tushar, Farzana and Shabana brought colours to the day. Pallavi carried the show by her beautiful words. Nancy, Sonal, Vasu, Sunandini, Ashish, Ehshaan, Abishek, Sargam, Madhurya and Shifali made colourful rangoli with theme Rashtriya Ekta. Principal emphasized the role of communal harmony and National integration in building the nation. The feeling of common identity amongst the people of country even after being from different races, cultures, religions or regions in order to build a strong united nation. A small token of love and respect was presented to Prof Amrit Isher on her superannuation by NSS Unit. NSS volunteers Sajal, Sartik, Vishal, Aaghav, Ajinka, Meehika, Pallvi and many participated in this cultural feast. Vote of thanks was given by Sahil Sharma. The cultural feast was much appreciated by the Principal, staff and students of the college.
