GDC Darhal organizes “Clean India” slogan writing competition

RAJOURI, Nov 23: A slogan writing competition on the theme “Clean India” was organized by Govt Degree College Darhal in which students prepared slogans related with motivational ideas for making India clean. Speaking on the occasion, Principal of the College Prof Sumanesh Jasrotia appreciated the students for displaying very effective ideas for making India Clean. He said that the need of the hour is to clean water bodies such as rivers, lakes and ponds.
He said India will flourish if all Indians come together and play their part in this drive. No government scheme has ever been successful without the cooperation of the citizens and the Clean India Mission is an important issue that needs our active participation, he added.
Senior Faculty Member Dr Ahsan Ul Rehman Rizvi appreciated the efforts of the students for preparing slogans on cleanliness. He said that such a programme will act as an eye opener for the students. Dr Imtiaz Hussain Shah also spoke on this occasion and applauded the beautiful display of slogans by the students of the college. The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Dr Riaz Hashim Malik of Sem-I, Sayra Jabeen of Sem –I and Haseena of Sem-V were adjudged first, second and third respectively. Sajad Ahmed and Raheena got consolation prizes. Dr Asif, Mahwish, Dr Javed Ahmed Mir and Farzana were the jury members.
Others present on the occasion were Abdul Qayoom, Jameel Ahmed, Safeer, Avez and Saddam. The programme was attended by a large number of students of the college.
