APS Damana clinches School of Innovation Trophy

JAMMU, Nov 24: Army Public School (APS) Damana participated in INDIA@75: YOUTH IDEATHON 2021 organized by CBSE in collaboration with Management Entrepreneurship Professional Skills Council (MPESC) under Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. It is India’s largest K-12 School Level Ideas Festival to harness innovation and entrepreneurship potential on young minds of India under the theme : Mera Idea Jo Badal De Bharat. Amidst a spirit of elation, the glory of Army Public School Damana made an iridescent impact by winning the prestigious School of Innovation Award at a special function ‘Youth Ideathon Grand Finale’ held at IIT New Delhi.
Pushpinder Kaur, Principal Army Public School Damana proudly received the Award at IIT New Delhi and commended the rhapsody of creative ideas put up by the students which was the upshot of myriad hours of hard work and dedication by the students and educators of the school. It is pertinent to mention here that the students from all over the Nation have participated in this event and Army Public School Damana is the only school in the entire UT of J&K from where seven students emerged amongst Top 500 thereby receiving School of Innovation Trophy.
Anurita Koul, PRT of the School was bestowed with Teacher of Innovation Certificate and national recognition in India’s Teachers of Innovation list. The ineffable idea of Ritik Bhat of the School was selected among Top 100 creative ideas. Outshining all, Ritik Bhat emerged as STATE WINNER and was conferred with cash prize of Rs 10,000 and State Winner Certificate. Seven students of the school were also garnered with Merit Certificate for being among Top500 students.
Founder of Youth Ideathon Shivani Singh Kapoor and Director Sanjeeva Shivesh also appreciated the kind engagement and active participation from the students of Army Public School Damana . They applauded the commitment of the school and the teachers who inculcated the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship in their students.
