PM Modi leads from front
11/24/2021 10:39:13 PM

Prime Minister Narendra Modi last week announced repealing the farm laws against which certain sections were agitating.
PM Modi’s decision to repeal these laws has once again proven that he puts the nation’s unity and integrity above all other considerations.
The Prime Minister displayed magnanimity by apologizing to the farmers and acknowledged that there might have been some shortcomings of his government in explaining the benefits of new laws to them.
The Prime Minister, with commendable statesmanship, declared that he would not proceed with the laws in the face of opposition, and would work towards building a consensus.
Since the day new farm laws were passed, vested interests particularly Pakistan sponsored and funded elements tried their best to create uncertainty by instigating the farmers to stage protests and left no stone unturned to give communal colour to the demonstrations that were staged in Punjab and some parts of Uttar Pradesh.
Prime Minister Modi by putting up the integrity and unity of the nation at top has once again given a befitting reply to Pakistan, which has been trying to push Punjab towards terrorism by sending drugs and dropping arms. But the government led by PM Modi has made it explicitly clear that a Pakistan-sponsored terrorist movement, could not, under any circumstances whatsoever, be allowed to resurface. At a time when the country faces security threats from hostile neighbours on all fronts, from Kashmir to the Northeast, no chances can be taken with Punjab.
Prime Minister chose the occasion of Guru Nanak Gurpurab to make the announcement was perhaps no coincidence, for he has long been a champion of the Sikh community, beginning with his days as a grassroots level political worker, to his three-time stint as Chief Minister of the state of Gujarat, and has continued to show the same compassion as the Prime Minister of the country.
By repealing the new farm laws PM Modi has set aside a controversy that was threatening to snowball into a major issue. But the Prime Minister has shown that true leaders can reverse the decisions which they feel are not liked by the people. He has set an example and the other leaders should learn from him. After a long time, India has got a Prime Minister who doesn’t get bogged down by anything. PM Modi has proven beyond doubt that it’s a common man who matters.
