| Harmanjot of Jodhamal wins Topper Best App Idea Award | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Dec 10: Harmanjot Singh, a brilliant grade 9 student of Jodhamal Public School won the Topper Best App Idea Award and was adjudged as Best Theme Award Winner for his new remarkable Internet of Things (IoT) Application Venture on Healthcare in the first ever National Youth Ideathon 2021 Competition, organised by Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship in collaboration with CBSE and MEPSC (Management & Entrepreneurship and Professional Skills Council) which comes under Skill India. He has innovated a novel wearable biomedical device himself, which integrates both embedded hardware and software technology using smart unobtrusive sensors, advanced Machine Learning Algorithms and is controlled by a nano microchip. The device is connected through wireless technology using the next gen Microchip ECC608 crypto chip to a cloud based mobile application developed by Harmanjot Singh which is already published on Play Store.
The device aims for a social cause to uphold the mental wellness of the people.
Pertinent to mention, he was the only one selected from Jammu and Kashmir in the Top 10 finalists amongst the 62000+ participants across India and Middle East after multiple rigorous rounds of tasks, challenges and long pitch interviews by the panel of experienced and seasoned judges.
The Award Ceremony was held on 20th November at Convocation Hall, Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi (IIT Delhi) where Harmanjot Singh presented his final pitch with his research paper published in International Journal of Advance Research, Ideas and Innovations in Technology, which is very unique and impressive.
Usually Research Scholars studying in Universities get their papers published in that exclusive Journal. Harmanjot was thus awarded with Best App Idea Trophy and cash prize of Rs 25,000 along with incubation and mentor support. Globally Renowned Venture Capitalists and Investors present there were extremely impressed with his prototype and venture idea.
These Venture Capitalists also offered provide him funding, scholarship for training in Silicon Valley ,USA Youth Ideathon was India’s largest K-12 school level Ideas festival to harness innovation and entrepreneurship potential amongst the young minds of India under the theme “Mera Idea Jo Badal De Bharat” and India@75 Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. |
