| YSS Cup 2021 begins at Block Thakrai Kishtwar | | |

KISHTWAR, Dec 16: Youth Services and Sports Cup 2021 today took off at Block Thakrai as the Chief Guest District Youth Services and Sports Officer Kishtwar Kharati Lal Sharma declared the sports event open.
Organised on the direction of Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Ashok Kumar Sharma, the sports tournament will witness the competitions in the discipline of Kabaddi & Kho Kho amid adherence to SOPs of COVID-19.
The department of YS&S Kishtwar initially organised Kho-Kho and Kabaddi matches under Mission Youth, a special programme for the overall development of youth and with the aims to develop their sports talent.
Speaking on this important occasion, the Chief Guest made the participants aware about the mission and told that day also witnessed e-launch of the first ever YSS Cup 2021 at Khel Gaon, Nagrota by the Principal Secretary, YSS Department, Alok Kumar. He said 20 district contingents participated in the e-launch of the sports event amid an impressive entertainment programme through virtual mode.
The inaugural Kabaddi match was played between the teams of Panchayat Pakalan and Panchayat Darbadan and won by the former .
Others present on the occasion were Shanawaz Qazi, Arshad Ganaie, Zorawer singh & Ayaz Ahmed. |
