| Several join Shiv Sena in Doda | | | Early Times Report DODA, Dec 20: Impressed by Shiv Sena's ideology and persons, about three hundred persons joined party during a public meeting organized here today in which the Party's Doda Unit was also constituted. The new entrants including dozens of regional party leaders joined Shiv Sena in the presence of party state president Manish Sahni. Shiv Sena General Secretary Vikas Bakshi, Vice President Balwant Singh, in-charge Ashwani Prabhakar and Raj Singh besides Sumit Abrol who were present on the occasion, welcomed the new members with Shivbandhan and party symbol. Meanwhile Shiv Sena state unit President, Manish Sahni announced the constitution of Doda unit of the party declaring a young flamboyant leader of the region, Vinod Kotwal as the President of the newly constituted Doda unit. Natwar Lal Raina was included in the state unit and given the post of vice-president. While addressing the gathering, Manish Sahni said that the party activists and workers as well as the leaders of Jammu and Kashmir unit are working relentlessly for restoration of peace and justice and statehood to J&K. Moreover, Shiv Sena is focussing its struggle on seeking equal political rights of Jammu division that has been neglected for over seven decades due to Kashmir centric governance, he added. The Shiv Sena President said that the Kashmir-centric working style of the previous and present governments continues even today. On August 5, 2019, the promises of development and employment to the youth were made to the people with the formation of a union territory but all these have proved to be mere 'Jumlas', he lamented. Saying that enough is enough, Sahni warned those in governance not to test the patience of the people of Jammu division anymore and instead do justice to them by restoring state status along with increasing the number of the assembly seats in Jammu division. On this division president Udhampur Sanjeev Sharma, Sunil Kumar, Imtiaz, Vijay, Vishal and many others were present.
