GDC Darhal organizes patriotic song competition

RAJOURI, Dec 23: As a part of the series of programmes to be organized during the on-going 7-days NSS Special camp, the highlight of the third day’s programme was a patriotic song competition in which the NSS Volunteers of the college explored with love and devotion for their motherland. The patriotic songs enthralled the audience and everyone was in patriotic allegiance. Principal of the college Prof. Sumanesh Jasrotia congratulated the NSS Volunteers of the college for organizing a competition on patriotism. He said that united and patriotic India will be more developed and powerful India. He told the NSS volunteers that patriotic thinking will always inculcate moral values in them, and love and devotion for their country shall definitely lead to more positive and constructive thinking. 7-day long NSS Special Camp is being organized under the overall guidance and supervision of Dr. Ather Aziz Raina NSS Programme Officer of the College. Dr. Raina told that 100 volunteers have been divided into groups of 10 each during various activities so that all the volunteers may get equal opportunity in the various events or activities to be organized during 7-Days of special camping. The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Dr. Mohd Riaz. In patriotic song competition, Mehrul Nisa, Noreen and Waqar Ahmed were adjudged first, second and third respectively. Nargis, Arif and Hashim Malik got consolation prizes. In Patriotic Poetry Recitation Competition, Shariq Ali Bin Ghulam, Sayed Aqsa and Mehrul Nisa Choudhary were adjudged first, second and third respectively. Dr. Javaid Ahmad Mir, Mahwish and Farzana and Monica were the jury members in the two types of competitions.
