| Fit India Week celebrations culminated at DPS Udhampur | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
UDHAMPUR, Dec 23: Prime Minister of India launched Fit India movement with a view to make physical fitness a way of life. In the above background, Delhi Public School Udhampur organized culmination of weeklong Fit India Moment along with Annual Sports fitness day for teachers and students. The playground of DPS Udhampur were esthetically decorated on the theme of FIT INDIA. Program began with lighting of Olympics torch leading to Fitness oath by Sports captain of the school.
The Chief guest of the day was the honorable Pro Vice Chairman of the School Dr. J.C Gupta, Guest of honor was MD Vivek Gupta, special guest were Ashok Sharma Retd. Director Sports and Shyam Swaroop. Academics Director DPSU Sucheta Gupta and worthy Principal Dr. Kunal Anand graced the occasion with the distinguished presence.
The Pro Vice Chairman of the School guided the students and teachers to be on the path of fitness and wellness. He stated that now a days, everyone is engaged in front of screens and less physical activity can be seen amongst the masses hence DPS Udhampur has taken initiative to aware masses about physical, mental and social health.
Various Fitness activities, Track & fields events such as 100 m race,200 M race, lemon race, Hurdle race, relay race, baton race, meditative asana of Yoga were held with the participation of teachers & students . The beauty of today’s event was that both teachers & students’ partnership during the entire event. The teaching, non-teaching, admin staff & students from class 10th, 11th & 12th participated in the event with full zeal & enthusiasm.
The Principal of the School Dr. Kunal Anand congratulated his dedicated team of staffers and students for organizing such a beautiful event. The winners of various sports event was felicitated with certificates & medals by the dignitaries.
The vote of thanks was presented by Headmistress Sr School Bhanvi Sharma and the program was coordinated by Rakhi Gupta Chief CCA Coordinator & Sangeeta Nargotra Chief Coordinator Sr School. |
