| Seminar on theme “Energy Conservation” held | | |

Jammu, Dec 23: A seminar on the theme "energy conservation" was organized by NSS cell GDC Ramban on 22-12-021 to celebrate the national energy conservation week as part of the Azadi Ka Amrut Mahosav celebrations. The venue of the program was Smart Room GDC Ramban. A good number of students participated in the seminar everyone following a proper COVID-19 appropriate behaviour. The program started with the brief introduction by NSS program officer Prof Vickey Rattan.
Prof. Vikram Rathore, HOD environmental science GDC Ramban and Dr Ankur HOD Geography GDC Ramabn were the keynote speakers on the occasion. They said energy conservation is the effort made to reduce the consumption of energy by using less of an energy service.
This can be achieved either by using energy more efficiently (using less energy for a constant service) or by reducing the amount of service used (for example, by driving less). The goal with energy conservation techniques is to reduce demand, protect and replenish supplies, develop and use alternative energy sources, and to clean up the damage from the prior energy processes.
The other staff members namely Prof Younis Ahmad, Prof Vinod Kumar and Rammandeep Krialia PTI GDC Ramban were also present on the occasion.
The program concluded with the formal vote of thanks proposed by Prof. Vijay Sharma. |
