| Natrang presents ‘Jayaz Hatyare-Act 1’ | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 26: Natrang presented ‘Jayaz Hatyare-Act 1’, an Hindi adaptation from a French play ‘Les Justes’ at Natrang Studio Theatre here. The play has been adapted in Hindi by Deepa Sahi and Suresh Bhardwaj and directed by Mohammad Yaseen, a national fellow and scholarship holder from Ministry of Culture. Set in the backdrop of India of colonial times, the play narrates the story of a group of Indian ‘Inqalabi Party’ which plans to assassinate the top official of British India. Originally, the play is based on a true story of a group of Russian Socialist-Revolutionaries who assassinated the Grand Duke Sergei Alexandrovich in 1905. Jayaz Hatyare is adapted from a French play titled ‘Les Justes’, the play was first published in the year 1949 written by French writer and philosopher Albert Camus, later on it had been translated in English as ‘The Just Assassins’ and then in Hindi by Suresh Bhardwaj and Deepa Sahi. |
