12/26/2021 10:33:05 PM
Early Times Report

JAMMU, Dec 26: DDC Chairman Jammu, Bharat Bhushan Bodhi said the policy envisaged by Prime Minister Narendra Modi will soon put an end to the difference between urban and rural lifestyles as the same convenience and facilities will be available in villages as are currently available in cities.
Bhushan said this while inaugurating up-gradation work of Chuchu De Amb to Lohrichak road with an estimated cost of Rs 4.17 Cr under NABARD scheme at Marh constituency. Former minister Sukhnandan Choudhary, BJP State President Kissan Morcha Omi Khajuria, Sarpanch and Panchs of Panchayat Gajansoo were also present.
The DDC Chairman said that development of rural areas holds much significance as still large segments of the population lived in villages. He said that development of villages has been one of the priorities of the Modi Government and the imbalance between urban and rural areas has to be removed to offer quality life to people living in far off hamlets. He said that villages have to be self-sufficient and agriculture has to be made more profitable, and for this roads and other infrastructure has to be made robust.
Sukhnandan said that the central government has formulated various exclusive schemes to benefit the people hailing from rural India who will eventually become the pillars of the country’s economy in the long run.
He informed that the BJP government is concerned about every citizen and concrete measures will be taken to address the grievances of people at the earliest.
Meanwhile, the DDC Chairman has welcomed the draft proposal of the Delimitation Commission, granting six of the seven additional assembly seats in the union territory to Jammu.
He emphasized that the draft proposal has done justice with the people of Jammu division.
