DDC reviews extension of benefits under beneficiary oriented Welfare schemes
Stresses on reaching out to all eligible beneficiaries

RAJOURI, Jan 3: District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today asked the line departments to make welfare schemes easily accessible to the eligible people.
He was chairing a meeting to review the progress made under welfare schemes and programs being implemented by different departments in the district.
Officers who attended the meeting included CPO, Mohammad Khurshid; CAO, Som Singh; ALC, Manisha; DHO, Shafqat Mir; DSWO, Wakeel Ahmed Bhatt; Dy Registrar Cooperatives, Antar Singh; AD FCS&CA, Arief Lone and other concerned officers.
Threadbare discussion on several schemes and programs for the welfare of the general public including Pre and Post Matric scholarship, pension schemes, PMGAY, SMAS, MIDH, PMDP, SMAM, PMKSY, Capex, PM KISAN, soil health card, E Shram, JKBOCW, PMSYMDY, MUMKIN, Tejaswini, PMGKY was held in the meeting.
It was informed that as many as 46848 persons in the district are availing pension under different categories besides the list of 8500 more beneficiaries stands submitted to the higher authorities for sanction.
Reviewing the pre and post-matric, ST, SC and OBC scholarship schemes, the DDC asked the concerned officers to make sure that no eligible beneficiary is left out from availing the necessary benefits under the schemes.
Talking about the progress made under PMGAY, it was informed that as many as 27 houses have been sanctioned in SC Population areas, out of which 19 have been completed.
The DDC also reviewed the progress on registration of the labourers on the E Shram portal. It was informed that 92611 workers have been registered on the Portal.
Taking strong note of the shortfall in cess collection from the contractors by the Labour Department, the DDC asked the concerned officer to take effective measures to meet the deficit in this regard. While reviewing the performance of FCS&CA, it was informed that the ration cards of all the NFSA and Non-NFSA beneficiaries have been linked with Adhar and the majority of the beneficiaries, barring a few areas, have been linked online.
The DDC asked the AD FCS&CA to conduct market checking regularly to keep check on overpricing, hoarding and black marketing.
Taking stock of progress made under the MUMKIN scheme, it was informed that as many as 200 cases have been approved by the District Level Committee to date. Giving details of the progress under Tejaswini, it was also informed that 800 business proposals of female entrepreneurs have been approved so far.
While reviewing the performance of the cooperative department, it was informed that 177 cooperative societies are functioning in the district. It was also apprised that most of the cooperative societies have become non-functional in the district. DDC asked the concerned officer to take concrete measures for the revival of all the cooperative societies.
