Early Times Report

Jammu, Jan 17: Reacting on the Lieutenant Governor M K Sinha’s “Awaam Ki Awaz”, wherein he alleged that local political parties have been misleading the people by launching narrative that Jammu and Kashmir being sold in the garb of MoUs signed recently, Provincial President National Conference Rattan Lal Gupta said that LG should not aware of the ground reality of development witnessed in during NC regime.
While talking to Early Times, Rattan Lal Gupta said that Jammu and Kashmir had witnessed enormous development in every field during the National Conference regime. Launching a scathing attack on LG’s statement, Gupta said that LG has been following in the footsteps of Modi, who has been making people fool in his ‘Mann Ki Awaz’ and similarly LG has been doing the same in his ‘Awaam Ki Awaz’.
He alleged that LG Government has failed to provide relief to traders, who have been passing through a difficult phase due to COVID. Same is the condition with daily wagers, advocates, unemployed etc. “It was NC who brought 5 Medical Colleges in Jamm
"Awaam Ki Awaz”
. Jammu University, Central University, SKUAST are gifts to Jammu. All bridges on Jammu Tawi were constructed during NC Govt,” he said further adding that LG government has nothing as achievements which directly has benefited the common masses. The unemployment rate during the NC Government was 7% and now it has reached 24%. BJP has betrayed to the people on the name of Article 370 revocation.
“LG Government has done nothing except photo sessions. Not even one field which has seen development in this government. There is still a shortage of doctors and paramedics in hospitals. Snowbound areas have been reeling under huge difficulties but no help has been provided to them till date” Gupta said.
Meanwhile Congress leader and former MLC Naresh Gupta said that the real intention of BJP behind revoking Article 370 was to get lands of JK for their favorite industrialists. “Although the matter of Article 370 is lying in Supreme Court and the LG Government has been signing MoUs which is totally wrong. No MoUs should be signed until the matter is subjudice,” he added.
