JAMMU, Jan 22: Department of Management of Dogra Degree College (DDC) organized a webinar on "Role of Supply Chain Management in Current Market Scenario" today via Google Meet. The eminent speaker for the session was Dr. Anju Thapa, Assistant Professor, Central University of Jammu. The lecture was attended by 100 students and 15 faculty members of Dogra Degree College.
The webinar was hosted by Arushi Salathia, Assistant Professor, Management Department. The speaker was welcomed by Simran Devi, Lecturer in Environmental Studies. Dr. Anju, began the session by defining the concept of supply chain management and it's role in delivering value to customers. She discussed the importance of customer delight and customer satisfaction and how Supply Chain Management (SCM) can help enhance the customer experience at every step.
The speaker also talked about latest developments in the field of SCM like 3PL, same day shipping, air shipping and RFID technology in warehousing. The session also presented to the students a detailed study of content, context and decisions made by Dabbawalas in managing their operations effectively.
