RAMNAGAR, Jan 29: IQAC team in collaboration with Department of Computer Applications of GDC Ramnagar organized an online lecture on "Online Phishing Attacks" as part of Cyber Jagrookta Mission of the Government. It was organized under the Patronage of Dr. Udhey Bhanu, Principal GDC Ramnagar and guidance of Prof. Suresh Kumar Dogra, HOD Physics. A large number of students and staff of the College attended the lecture in online mode. At the outset, Dr. Udhey Bhanu called upon the participants to be cautious about online frauds and exhorted them to spread the awareness about the same in their family and localities. Prof. Aditya Sharma, College Nodal Officer of Cyber Jagrookta cell and resource person for today's lecture, introduced the participants to the Email Phishing Attacks and their consequences. He also discussed ways to identify such emails and protect ourselves from these frauds. At the end, Prof. Brinder Kumar, Convener IQAC, concluded the session by highlighting important points of the session. The whole proceedings were coordinated by Rudrika Kalsotra, Organizing Secretary of the event. Among others who were present in the session included Dr. Hari Singh, Prof. Mushtaq Ahmed, Dr Mohd Riaz, Dr. Monica and Parveen Sharma. |
