Progressive approach alone can bring harmony in society: Gupta, Jan

JAMMU, Feb 3: Reposing immense trust in the wisdom of youth in carving out a harmonious society based on love, compassion and brotherhood, Provincial President Rattan Lal Gupta and Provincial YNC President Ajaz Jan today exuded confidence that the student community will channelise their energies in productive pursuits.
"Youth are future of the nation and upon them lie onerous responsibilities", Gupta said while felicitating Mahesh Bakshi on his nomination as Provincial President National Conference Students Union (NCSU), adding that progressive approach alone can bring harmony in the society.
The name of Mahesh Bakshi was proposed by Ajaz Jan and approved by the Provincial President Mr Gupta.
Gupta hailed the spirit demonstrated by the student community while facing numerous challenges from time to time, hoping that they will continue to work for betterment of the society while pursing their academics.
The Provincial President appreciated the NCSU for generating an atmosphere of brotherhood within the student community and described this spirit as unique, saying the maturity and sagacity shown by the students rekindles hope for better tomorrow.
Speaking on the occasion, Ajaz Jan lauded the youth for their positive and progressive outlook, saying that this is imperative for peace and harmony, especially during the present times when attempts are being made to divide the youth on regional and religious lines.
The YNC Provincial President exhorted the youth to become part of Jammu and Kashmir's growth story and strive hard to excel in their chosen fields.
Former Minister Javed Ahmed Dar said camaraderie is imperative for the younger generation to grow in unison and work for betterment of the society. J&K youth are second to none and there is no doubt that they will steer the state to progress and newer heights of growth, he added.
Provincial Secretary and former MLC Sheikh Bashir Ahmed appreciated the NCSU cadre for their discipline and commitment to work for the betterment of the student community at large.
The former legislators Bashir Ahmed Veeri, Abdul Majid Larmi and Altaf Ahmed Kaloo also addressed the NCSU cadre and exuded confidence that the present day student leaders will lead J&K and the nation in different fields with much more confidence and vigour.
They reminded the youngsters of their responsibilities towards strengthening the bonds of amity, brotherhood and inclusiveness among the people in true spirit of the J&K's composite culture.
Expressing his gratitude to the leadership for reposing faith in him, the newly nominated NCSU President said that he will strive hard to come to their expectations.
On this occasion Ajaz Jan have been nominated Munzamail Malik as Provincial Secretary YNC Jammu Province and Karamat Shah as Joint Secretary District Jammu Urban YNC.
Prominent among those present on the occasion included Gorav Kapoor, S. Sandeep Singh, Nitish Gowsami, S. Tejinder Singh, Meed Choudhary, Zamir Quershi, Mudit Seth, Riyaz Malik, Abid Magrey Umesh Talashi, Owais Bukhari, Yashir and others.
