| GDC Doongi shines in UT level online quiz competition | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
RAJOURI, Feb 3: Shaheed Ghanisham Govt. Degree College Doongi bagged first position in UT level online quiz competition on HIV/AIDS, and other health related issues. The quiz was organized by J&K AIDS Control Society by involving different Higher Educational Institutions from all over the UTs of J&K and Ladakh.
This online event was carried out in three phases-District level, Divisional level and UT level competitions. In the first phase of District level quiz Competition, 82 institutions participated out of which 54 institutions which qualified in the first phase took part in the 2nd level quiz competition at the Divisional level. In the last and the final round, 11 institutions which qualified the Divisional level quiz competition took part in the UT level quiz competition. The final competition was won by Shaheed Ghanisham Govt. Degree College Doongi, District Rajouri.
Dr. Shamim Ahmed Azad the principal of the college congratulated Palak Tara student of semester 5th and Muskan Kumari of semester 3rd who participated and topped the UT level quiz and received prize money of Rs 20000. He also congratulated Prof. Samina Khan, Nodal Officer, Red Ribbon Club and whole staff and students of the college for this big achievement wherein students showed outstanding performances. He further stated that being a newly established college GDC Doongi has created a history to excel in this UT level competition. |
