GDC, Chenani organize student development program

JAMMU, Feb 14: Govt. Degree College, Chenani organized a Student Development Program on "Technology Trends, Corporate Culture and Career Growth" in Collaboration with Sunstone Eduversity, Gurgaon, Haryana with a view to adopt modern technology as per latest corporate market trends and equipping students with relevant knowledge for planning better career prospects. Around 155 participants were registered for the Webinar, out of which 25 were teachers from both the institutes, 10 student participants from Sunstone Eduversity and 120 students participated from GDC, Chenani.
The Resource Person of the Program, Dr. Prateek Dudhale, Phd in Management and MBA in Marketing and HR discussed factors that are impacting the future of work, such as remote work environments, climate change, focus on workforce equity, and an intensifying labor market. He stressed that in this rapidly shifting environment, leaders must address management issues and wellness concerns. The webinar presented the pressing changes leaders face in the future of work, and how they must set their organizations up for long-term success. Describing the future, he compared the after-effects of COVID-19 pandemic and said we will see many huge shifts in the way we work, skill, and teach. Since every crisis comes with an opportunity, he was hopeful that there would be positive changes in many industry sectors such as manufacturing and retail.
Mr. Wahid Farooq, Faculty of Computer Science at GDC, Chenani addressed the audience and appreciated the efforts of Mr. Divay Mahajan, Marketing Business Development Manager and Dr. Prateek Dudhale, Assistant professor at Sunstone Eduversity for such a contemporary and useful topic. He added as the government prepares to restart the economy post lockdown, business leaders are deeply concerned and are taking urgent measures to manage the fast-evolving crisis of jobs and work. Safeguarding and recreating jobs will be critical priorities as we enter this period of transition.
Dr. Pragya Khanna, Principal of the College exhorted that the purpose of the webinar was to keep the students abreast on the importance of staying up to date with technology. She said that technology is an important part of almost every job today. No matter what industry you are in, the technology you use is developing rapidly. To advance in your career, you need to stay up to date on trends in technology. She appreciated the efforts of the organizers for the program.
The students Yash Paul, Sakshi, Sufia Malik, Meenakshi Thakur, Pawan Kumar, Gagan Anthal, Nishu Devi and teachers Lakshya and Dr. Rameshwar took a special interest in the program and interacted with the resource person about career opportunities in different fields like, online Bussiness, Networking Bussiness, Web Design, Graphics Design etc.
