Night temperature improves in Kashmir | | | Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Feb 14: Minimum temperature improved all across the Kashmir valley even as the Meteorological Department forecasts generally cloudy sky to very light rain or snow at isolated places over Jammu and Kashmir here on Monday. Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, recorded a low temperature of 1.4 degree Celsius against the minus 2.2 degree Celsius recorded the previous night. It was 1.2 degree Celsius above normal during this period of the season. Gulmarg in north Kashmir recorded as low temperature of minus 4.0 degree Celsius against the minus 7.8 degree Celsius recorded on Sunday. It was 2.2 degrees above normal during this period of the season at this ski resort in Kashmir. Tourist resort of Pahalgam in south Kashmir recorded a low of minus 3.4 degree Celsius against the minus 6.3 degree recorded the previous night. Qazigund on the Srinagar-Jammu national highway recorded temperatures at sub zero against the minus 2.6 degree Celsius, Kokernag recorded a low of 0.6 degree Celsius and Kupwara 0.5 degree Celsius. |
