“Army send me for training in special course meant for deaf and dumb children- after that they engage me for three months to train these 78 people” said Jan Mohammad, further added that government is not showing any keen interest towards these children of lesser God. He said that government has promised to open the school for these specially abled children, but nothing has been done and left them at the mercy of the God.
“I urged the government to look into the matter on humanitarian grounds - these children required special attention and care- treat them with dignity and honour” said Jan Mohammad.
Abdul Razak, father of 15 year old deaf and dumb told the Early Times that he spends lakhs of rupees on the treatment of his daughter and during all these years no government look at them.
“I took my daughter for heart related alignment treatment to Srinagar- I received not a single penny help from the government” said Abdul Razak.
