DC Jammu reviews progress under District Capex Budget 2021-22, DDC BDC, PRI grants

JAMMU, Mar 15: Deputy Commissioner Anshul Garg today reviewed the progress of works proposed under District Capex Budget 2021-22 including DDC, BDC, PRI components.
The concerned official informed the chair that of the total 4493 proposed works 4430 have been tendered, 3387 allotted and 2170 completed.
The Deputy Commissioner was informed that out of 4493 approved works, 224 works are under UT component, 204 under BDC, 208 under DDC and 3857 are under PRI component. It was further apprised that under UT component, out of 224 works, 209 were tendered, 196 allotted and 97 stand completed in all respects. The Deputy Commissioner was further informed that out of 3857 works under PRI component, tenders of 3831 works have been floated, 2887 have been allotted and 1924 have been completed. Similarly, under the DDC component out of 208 works, 192 were tendered, 143 allotted and 65 were completed. Under the BDC component, out of 204 works 198 were tendered, 161 allotted and 84 completed. After taking the work wise review under all the components, the Deputy Commissioner asked the officers to formulate the District Capex Plan 2022-23 and submit the same before 20th March. He instructed the officers to complete the works proposed in next year’s Capex plan within one year or maximum two years. He said that no more time will be allotted to complete the works under any circumstances.
The Deputy Commissioner also asked them to incorporate only those works in next year’s Capex plan which are urgently required. He also asked them to submit the feasibility certificate along with the proposed works.
Among others, CPO Yoginder Katoch and senior officers of the concerned departments were present in the meeting.
