Jammu, Mar 27: Prof. Suresh Kumar Gupta Memorial Library was inaugurated in the premises of Trikuta Nagar Welfare Society (TNWS), by Director, Libraries and Research, J&K UT, Mohammad Rafi, alongwith Society's President Rajinder Parshad Kakkar, DG's nominee in the books purchasing committee of J&K UT Prof. Kulbhushan Mohtra, Sabhita Rani ,Chief Librarian, SES LibraryJammu, in presence of a large gathering of prominent persons from different walks of life.
It has been dedicated to Prof. Suresh Gupta on his 10th death anniversary by his son Suneel Mahajan and his family.
Mohammad Rafi , on this occasion, spoke on the importance of a library for the people, particularly those students, who can not afford the required books for their preperations to excel in various competitive exams. He also congratulated the TNWS for getting a big library having the facility of valuable books on different subjects under one roof.
Prof. Kulbhushan Mohtra shared his experience on management of a library and making choice to purchase books of dire necessity instead of compiling heaps of unnecessay books. Sabhita Rani also expressed their views on various aspects related to make library a place of attraction for readers.
Ramesh Sabbharwal one of the close colleague of Prof. Suresh Kumar Gupta, described him a multifaced personality having the distinction of serving the society in different capacities from young age till last breathe.
He shared that Prof. Gupta was an academician earned mass respect as a prominent social figure while working with various organisations. He further mentioned that Prof. Gupta was long associated with Sanatan Dharam Sabha ,President, Akhil Bharatiya Vidhyarathi Parishad, President Arya Samaj Trikuta Nagar. Not only this, Prof. Gupta served two tenures in Bharat Vikas Parishad as its President and later rendered his services as Zonal President, BVP. During his last years, he served as National Secretary, BVP, adding that Prof. Gupta is remembered as a man with zeal to serve the society selflessly.
Ran Vijay Shastri ,President Arya Samaj Trikuta Nagar Bharat Bhushan, D.P Arora ,President BVP Bahu Branch Vijay Arora also Spoke on the life on Prof. Suresh Gupta .
President TNWS Rajinder Parshad Kakkar appreciated the efforts of family for such a noble cause and assured the people present there that team TNWS will make all its efforts to manage and run the library smoothly.
Ajay Gupta, Jyoti Devi ,Neeraj Lucky Puri, corporators of the ward numbers 52,53 and 54 respectively, graced the occasion with their presence and also shared their views .
Suneel Mahajan, son of Prof Suresh Gupta informed that We will convert this in e library incoming days and update the library as per the requirement of the children and thanked President Rajinder Kakkar, Patron Er.Ashok kumar arora Vice President S.N.Koul, General Secretary Adv.Harshvardhan Gupta, Secretary Vijay Gupta ,Treasurer Sandeep Sharma, TNWS team, Ajay Sabbharwal,Rohit Mahajan ,Parshotam Gupta ,Dr. T.R Gupta ,Krishan Lal Gupta ,Anil Sharma ,Varinder Kumar Suri ,S.N Nanda ,Chander Prakash Darmath ,Ravinder Rekhi , N.K Bali ,Nitish Mahajan besides , Members of Arya Samaj,Residents of the locality for their presence on the occasion to shower their blessings.
