Early Times Report

Jammu, Mar 27: In wake of spike in terror strikes in Jammu and Kashmir, the Raj Bhawan is facing public criticism for the alleged security failures with the nationalists taking the office of the Lieutenant Governor head on.
It’s for the first time that the official handle of the Raj Bhawan is facing criticism openly from the netizens.
On March 26, a policeman was killed in Budgam and his sibling who was initially wounded succumbed this morning. Soon after the incident, the office of the Lieutenant Governor had posted its condemnation on the official Twitter handle.
“I strongly condemn the terrorist attack on SPO Ishfaq Ahmad & his brother Umar Jan.Tribute to Ishfaq, who attained martyrdom & prayers for speedy recovery of Umar. Deepest condolences to the family in this hour of grief. Those behind this despicable attack will not go unpunished,” the Raj Bhawan handle had said on behalf of the Lieutenant Governor.
But the netizens took the government head on responding with serious questions on the official handle.
Neelam Sharma ( Dogra), Twitter replied the tweet saying “Need some concrete step not condemnation.”
Another Twiterrati said that the official handle of the Raj Bhawan was dedicated for “customary condemnations” as the situation is seemingly deteriorating on the ground. “This account in only for condemnation,” the handle said.
One account by the name of Jammuite replied to the tweet saying: “Sir you need to regularise all the spos... And give them all beneiftsband respect at par wid regular constables..”
While the terror strikes have witnessed a fresh spike in the last around a month in Kashmir ins particular, the Raj Bhawan is being accused of focussing more of festivities of sorts including musical concerts and dance shows, the security beef up.
Leave apart the common people even some of the officials have been questioning the spike in terror incidents across the Jammu and Kashmir. While such officials speak on the condition of anonymity, they have been demanding the intervention of the Modi government into the alleged misgoverance and rising corruption in the administration in Jammu and Kashmir.
