| Beti Padao, Beti Bachao slogan a hoax: Anganwadi workers | | |  Early Times Report
Anantnag, Apr 5: Female Anganwadi workers staged a massive protest here in South Kashmir on Tuesday against the failure of the administration to release their pending wages. Protesters while talking to Early Times said that tall claims of the government about beti-padao, beti bachao are a hoax. “They have brought betis on roads and the irony is that no one wants to even talk to us. We will keep on protesting till our demands are met,” they said.
The female Anganwadi workers said that the present regime has snatched whatever the previous governments had given them. “Our wages have been pending for the past many months. We were promised a hike but we haven’t got any increment. It seems the LG led administration in J&K is in deep slumber,” they added. |
