UDHAMPUR, May 13: American Oncology Institute (AOI), ASCOMS Hospital Jammu today organized a free cancer screening and awareness camp in association with World Cancer Care at Government District Hospital, Udhampur.
In the cancer screening camp, almost 500 patients were screened and examined by a team of oncology specialists, Dr. Satyanker Gupta (Medical Oncologist) and Dr. Vikas Roshan (Radiation Oncologist) from AOI Jammu.
Dr. Neeraj Bishnoi, Regional COO, AOI said, “Besides conducting screening tests at the camp, we wanted to educate and create awareness about early detection in the public. AOI offered free tests and services like mammography, bone densitometry, pap smear, PSA, and other lab tests along with free oncology, gynaecology and general consultation at the camp. More than 500 patients were screened at this first of its kind mega oncology and cancer screening camp in Jammu city where 4 buses cum mobile medical vans were present. |
