Early Times Report

Jammu, May 13: Within a month after he joined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), two-time MLA from Udhampur Balwant Singh Mankotia has dropped a hint of rejoining the Panthers Party.
Mankotia is not happy with the decision of the AAP leadership to induct Harsh Dev Singh into the party despite his reservation.
Mankotia, who had joined AAP on joined AAP with another Panthers Party former MLA Yash Paul Kundal, revealed that he was not aware that Harsh Dev Singh will also join the same party. “Had I aware that Harsh Dev Singh will join AAP, I would have never left the Panthers Party”, Mankotia told a news channel. “I was not aware of this development”, he said while pointing toward the decision of the AAP to induct Harsh Dev Singh into the party.
Important to mention here the infighting in the Panthers Party was the result of differences between Harsh Dev Singh and Balwant Singh Mankotia. It was all due to differences with Singh that Mankotia had resigned from the Panthers Party in February 2021
Mankotia is a two-time MLA from Udhampur had resigned from the Panthers Party, citing a “family issue”.
Sources said that before Mankotia joined AAP on April 10, Harsh Dev Singh was already in touch with the top leadership of the AAP. Mankotia has joined AAP with a condition that the party will not induct Harsh Dev Singh but his condition was turned down by AAP leadership.
Three days ago when Harsh Dev Singh returned from Delhi after joining AAP, Mankotia was not present on the occasion. Although Yash Paul Kundal was on the same vehicle on which Harsh Dev Singh was traveling Mankotia decided to give a slip to the event.
Harsh Dev Singh organized a function at Udhampur townhall in which Mankotia was also missing.
As reported earlier Except for Prof. Bhim Singh, all ex-legislators of the Panthers Party have quitted the party during the last couple of years.
The Panthers Party was founded on March 23, 1982, by Prof Bhim Singh and a few prominent youth political personalities.
