5/13/2022 11:10:39 PM

Early Times Report

Srinagar, May 13: Security forces shot dead two unidentified militants during a gun battle in Jammu and Kashmir’s Bandipora district, police said on Friday.
This is the second gunfight in Bandipora in the last two days.
On May 11, a local militant, believed to have infiltrated from Pakistan recently, was killed at the Salinder forest area of Bandipora.
The latest latest gunfight broke out at Brar Argam.
“As the search party proceeded towards the suspected spot, the hidden terrorists fired indiscriminately, which was retaliated effectively leading to an encounter. In the ensuing gun battle, two terrorists have been killed,” a police official said.
The identity of the slain could not be established immediately.
A police tweet said the search operation in progress. Police said the two militants who had escaped from Salinder on Wednesday were trapped in Brar when the operation was launched.
