DDC reviews progress of work on GMC campus; implementation of Central schemes

DODA, May 13: District Development Commissioner Doda Vikas Sharma today chaired a meeting of the line departments and executing agencies here in the Conference hall of DC office complex to review the physical progress of major ongoing projects in the district. Besides, he also took stock of achievements under the Central schemes last fiscal and the action plan proposed for the current financial year.
Reviewing the progress of construction work on Government Medical College campus building at Ghat, the DDC directed the PHE and PDD to ensure immediate availability of adequate safe drinking water and power supply to the new campus for its early commissioning. Besides, set the deadline of one week for the GMC and executing agencies to ensure the availability of minor components in the administrative, academics as well as in hostel buildings without any further delay.
Taking the review of the MGNREGA works, the DDC directed the ACD to ensure 100 percent timely payment of wages and take disciplinary action against the poor performer blocks. Besides, he directed the AC Panchayat to extend the date for the response of construction of SWM units in the designated Panchayats. In addition to these directions, the DDC also asked the ACD to re-verify the cases of landless beneficiaries identified under Awaas plus scheme so that appropriate action shall be taken in this matter.
While reviewing the JJM, the DDC directed the SE Hydraulics to ensure that all the DPRs whose appraisal had been completed were tendered including full components. He also assessed the IEC activities being conducted across the district by taking all the Pani Samitis on board.
The DDC also reviewed the Ayushmaan Bharat, PMAY- U & G, PM-Kisaan, KCC, Rural-Urban electrification, social sector schemes, employment generation schemes etc and directed all the line departments to achieve all the set targets by working on mission mode so that the benefits of these schemes shall reach out to the beneficiaries across the district without any fail and on priority basis.
The meeting was attended by Principal GMC Doda, ADDC Doda, ADC Doda, SE PWD, SE Hydraulics, SE JPDCL, GM DIC, CEO BDA, CPO Doda, ACD Doda, AC Panchayat Doda, Dy Director Employment, DSWO Doda, besides other officers of line departments and engineering wings were also present.
