JMC Dy mayor inaugurates block level orientation training programme

JAMMU, May 13: Nehru Yuva Kendra Jammu, under Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Govt. of India inaugurated three Days Block level Orientation Training of Youth Volunteers and Members of Youth Clubs at Sarswati Dham, near Railway station, Jammu in collaboration with Investor education Awareness and Protection, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Govt. of India.
Poornima Sharma, Deputy Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation was the Chief Guest on the Inaugural Function. 80 Volunteers and Youth Club Members hailing from different blocks i.e Vijaypur, Arnia, Satwari and Bishnah participated in this programme.
The need of this programme is to aware and educate the youth about financial schemes of the Government meant for the well being of its citizen, people are not getting benefits from these schemes, As a result a vast gap is created in service delivery system and hence a sizeable proportion of the population in want of more benefit in short span of time, They invest their hard money in pongy schemes.
Thus the main objective of this programme is to make aware and educate Youth Leaders/Youth Volunteers and members of Youth Clubs on the issues of Investor Education, Awareness and protection who in turn may mobilize their peer and village communities and generate awareness on financial literacy and investments.
At the very outset, Nissar Ahmed Butt, State Director, NYKS J&K and Ladakh welcomed the Chief Guest and press media. He highlighted the key features of Investor Education Awareness and Protection training programme. He requested media to give wide publicity of this programme so that the last villagers of the UT could get benefit from these trainings.
Addressing the Youth, Poornima Sharma the Chief Guest appreciated this type of training implemented by Govt of India. She requested to youth to learn about the financial schemes of the Government meant for the well being of them. Chief Guest further added that the Youth who are taking part in the programme will definitely learn the act of saving and investing and will also spread this message in the nook and corner of their villages /areas. These small steps will contribute in a big way for our Nation. She wished good luck and success.
She appreciated the working system, social service and contribution of NYK for the upliftment of Society, Youth in particular. Bharat Bhushan, Vice president Cantonment Board, Jammu, Rakshit Ganjoo, and Ashish Janwal from SBI Funds Management Ltd. And others witnessed the programme. The lectures on Mutual funds and other investments were also delivered during the programme. Inspector Gagan from Cyber Branch has awared the student about Cyber crime in India and Cyber Hygiene.
