Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, May 13: Actress Sara Ali Khan, the Bollywood heartthrob, who is in Kashmir, trekked 26 kms to see the Tulian Lake which is 36,070 feet above sea level in the south Kashmir Himalayan range of the tourist destination of Pahalgam.
Accompanied by her two friends including a local Manan Tramboo, the trekking was organized by the "Hike the trails adventure Private Limited" of Danish Dhaar, who is also the President of All J&K Mountaineering Foundation.
"They did it without any hiccup or facing high altitude symptoms… walked 26 km to and fro from Pahalgam at an altitude of 36, 070 meters above sea level Alpine trek which is nearest to Biasaran valley", said Danish Dhaar.
Dhaar said that we received a call that actress Sara Ali Khan alongwith her friends wishes to trek and stay at Liderwat in Pahalgam.
"Actually they were supposed to stay at Lidderwat but abruptly they decided to go to see the Tulian lake on May 10", he said and "I was not sure they would undertake the trek and will be back on the same day".
But to their surprise they completed 26 km trekking to and fro in one day, he said.
He said usually it takes a day from each side to reach Tulian and back. However, professional trekkers can complete it in a day. But Sara Ali Khan's team was so professional and fit they did it in one day.
Danish Dhaar alongwith his two other associates Waseem Hassan and Aamir Lateef accompanied the trekking team of actress Sara Ali Khan and stayed for the night at Pahalgam after Tulian trek.
"I was sure they would have gone tired and prefer to stay back at Pahalgam next day", Danish Dhaar said and added "but to my team's surprise, they were so fresh and gigantic in the morning they moved to another trek to Lidderwat valley".
He said the Liderwat area is very steep in height and it took almost five hours to reach there, but they trekked like any professional mountaineer and stayed there for the night.
The Simmba actress also cooked Kashmiri green leaves locally known as "Haak" in her own way and some other food for her friends and also shot a video. "We returned to Pahalgam the next day after spending a memorable time with the actress and her companions", he said.
Sara Ali Khan has moved to another favourable destination in north Kashmir's Gulmarg ski resort.
She is likely to leave for Mumbai tomorrow.
Sara Ali Khan is often visiting Kashmir during her break from bollywood. She stayed at Gulmarg during the last winters alongwith her brother Ibrahim Ali Khan for several days.
