| Minor repeatedly raped: Accused arrested after series of raids: Police | | | Early Times Report
REASI, May 16: One person (name withheld) of Pouni Tehsil lodged a written complaint on 14th of May 2022 that her daughter (name withheld) age 14 years was repeatedly raped by someone and is 2/3 month pregnant.
On getting this information case FIR no 30/2022 U/S 376 IPC, 4 POCSO Act was lodged at Police Station Pouni and search of accused & investigation started.
Team of Police Station Pouni and Police Post Bhambla started finding clues of the rapist, enquired about him from family, neighbors and family friends.
Amit Gupta Senior Superintendent of Police Reasi constituted a special team headed by Sub Inspector rank.
Police team remained on chasing the accused constantly and finally arrested the accused Vishal Kumar S/O Ram Lal R/O Maghai Jagir tehsil Pouni from Bhambla area of district Reasi.
SSP Reasi conveyed that the case will be investigated thoroughly to minutest of details & chargesheet against the accused will be produced in the court of law within stipulated time. Reasi Police is being regularly briefed to remain sensitive towards crime against women especially minors further appealed that girls should remain aware of such type of fraudsters who remain on the mission of spoiling the life of innocents. |
