| Yoga awareness programme organised in Central Jail Kotbhalwal | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 10: A Yoga Awareness Programme and live Yoga Demonstration was organised in Central Jail Kotbhalwal Jammu in collaboration with Central Sanskrit University, Shri Ranbir-Campus Kotbhalwal Jammu.
Prof. Shriniwas Varakhedi, Vice Chancellor was the chief guest on the occasion besides other dignitaries of the University were also present during the occasion.
In the programme large number of jail inmates, CRPF/ jail officers and Officials also participated with great enthusiasm and zeal.
Veerinder Kumar Bhat, Sr. Superintendent Central Jail Jammu Kotbhalwal also spoke on the occasion and motivated the jail inmates to make yoga as routine in their daily life with a purpose to keep them physically as well as mentally fit.
Such programmes have become regular feature of the jail routine. The Jail Inmates appreciated the efforts taken by the DGP Police Prisons for organizing such type of programme in the Jail for physical and mental betterment of the inmates. |
