Jammu, June 10: Other then few incident of violence in Bhaderwah town of Doda District, majority of the parts in twin Districts of Doda and Kishtwar witnessed no untoward incident following the imposition of curfew in the area after hate speech by a local preacher followed by a blasphemy post on social networking site “Instagram” by a class 9th students that triggered massive late night protest in Bhadarwah that led to the imposition of curfew in majority parts of the Chenab valley.
Beside imposition of the curfew, internet services including broadband internet was suspended in whole Chenab valley which is still continue along with the curfew.
The official sources told the Early Times that all the major town and areas of Doda and District witnessed calm and urged upon the people to maintain peace and communal harmony.
Police and administration in Bhaderwah District is also making efforts to hold talks between the members of both communities so that peace could return in area. The meeting between the heads of both communities would like took place any time on Saturday. |
