DDC chairs DLRC meet; stress laid on priority sector lending

RAJOURI, June 10: A meeting of District Level Review Committee (DLRC) was held here today under the chairmanship of District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal to review the progress achieved under the targeted schemes launched by the banks in collaboration with the line departments.
Officer who attended the meeting included CAO, Sohan Singh; DSHO, Dr Sarfraz Naseem Chowdhary; CAHO, Dr Fazal Hussain; LDM, Jyoti Prakash Sharma; DDM NABARD, Kanav Sharma; Director RSETI, Raman Kumar; DHO, Shafqat Mir; AD Fisheries, Munish Sharma; AD Employment, Rekha Rani; DO NRLM, Javed Ul Sofi and other concerned officers.
A discussion on various points including CD ratio, training of candidates to manage business, performance of Banks concerning the flow of credit under Annual plan, progress made under special credit facility for street vendors(PM SVANIDHI), PMEGP, progress under government sponsored schemes, progress under KCC, joint liability groups, self help groups etc was held threadbare in the meeting.
While taking note of the CD ratio, it was informed that the said ratio is 46.69 percent as on March 31, 2022 and effective measures are in place to increase the CD Ratio in the district.
Regarding training of candidates to manage business, it was informed that 207 candidates have been provided training under Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI) during the quarters of financial year 2021-22 and as many as 229 candidates have been trained, 99 linked with banks and 66 candidates have been self-financed.
Reviewing the performance of Banks concerning the flow of credit under Annual plan for the FY 2021-22, it was informed that all the Banks operating in the district have provided total credit of Rs 619.77 crore against the target of Rs 875.16 crore to priority sector under Annual Credit Plan thereby registering an achievement of 70.82 percent. The DDC asked the Bankers to focus on priority sector lending to enhance the credit flow under ACP.
Taking stock of the progress made under special credit facility for street vendors (PM SVANIDHI), the meeting was apprised that as many as 320 cases have been sanctioned and 315 cases have been disbursed and a total amount of Rs 31.10 lakh has been disbursed. Under NRLM, as many as 810 cases have been sanctioned out of which 783 cases have been disbursed.
Discussing the progress regarding the PMEGP, the meeting was told that under PMEGP DIC, PMEGP KVIB, PMEGP KVIC, JKREGP, as many as 297,315, 32 and 67 cases have been sanctioned respectively.
Similarly, a comprehensive review of the progress of PMWMY, JLG's, Atam Nirbhar Bharat, Ultra High Density plantation scheme, MUMKIN, Progress on social security schemes including Atal Pension Yojana, PMJDY, Progress in Aadhar Seeding of DBT accounts, final literacy initiatives, SHGs was taken in depth in the meeting.
The DDC asked the Bankers and Line Departments to work with added zeal to achieve tangible results.
Stating that there is always a scope for increasing the CD Ratio, he directed the concerned authorities to put in place added efforts to improve the CD Ratio in the district.
Enumerating various self employment generation schemes being implemented in the district, the DDC asked the financing agencies to educate the masses about various loan schemes launched by the Government and motivate them to avail the benefits of the same to raise their socio-economic status.
The DDC said that much stress is being laid on self employment generation schemes, he directed the Bank Authorities to be liberal in sanctioning of loans to the beneficiaries to enable them get necessary benefits under these schemes.
