DDC Rajouri holds public outreach camp at far flung village Gai Bas in Block Khawas
Assures early completion of ongoing Road Projects

RAJOURI, June 29: To redress the public grievances at their doorsteps, the District Administration Rajouri today organised a public outreach camp in a far flung area of Gai Bas in block Khawas.
The event was organised as a part of the weekly Block Diwas and was presided over by District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal.
ADDC, Pawan Kumar; DDC Member Moughla, Shamim Akhter; ADC Koteranka, Surinder Mohan Sharma; ACR, Imran Rashid Kataria; DFO Nowshera, Neelima; CPO, Mohammad Khurshid; PO ICDS, Kartar Singh; CMO, Dr Abdul Hamid Zargar; Dy Director Employment, Qadeer Ul Rehman; other District and sectoral officers were also present.
The public and their representatives apprised the DDC about a number of issues and demands of their areas including macadamization of roads, better health services, upgradation of schools, paucity of staff in Government institutions etc.
They demanded completion of work on road from Gunda to Kanala, renovation of dilapidated Narla to Bambal road and Gai Bas road, restoration of old hand-pumps, meeting shortage of staff at sub-centre UDAN, sanctioning of JNV and veterinary sub-centre for Gai Bas, construction of building for GPS Gaibas, completion of work on Chakmathiani to Narla road, petrol pump at Gai Bas etc.
Officers of different departments also highlighted a number of schemes and programs being implemented in the district and motivated the public to avail the benefits of the same. They also replied to the queries raised by the public pertaining to their departments.
While speaking on the occasion, the DDC underlined a number of initiatives being taken by the District Administration to take the district to new heights of development. He also highlighted several welfare schemes and programs launched by the Government and motivated them to avail the benefits of the same.
The DDC gave a patient hearing to all the issues and demands raised by the public during the event and passed on spot directions to the concerned officers to take effective measures to redress the genuine public concerns in a time bound manner.
The DDC also appealed to the public to ensure their active participation in the developmental process to take the district to new heights.
While responding to the slow pace of work on PMGSY roads, he assured that all projects would be completed by the end of September this year.
Responding to the issue of dilapidated condition of roads, he asked the concerned officers to take effective measures in this regard and ensure renovation.
