Jammu, June 29: ADGP Jammu Mukesh Singh felicitated Rajesh Gill, Former Ranji Cricket Player & Member Indian Cricketers Association in a function jointly organized by Zonal Police Headquarters Jammu & Veterans Cricket Jammu & Kashmir at Jammu.
Rajesh Gill who has been selected to represent Indian Veteran Cricket Team in the Marlborough cup Championship scheduled to be held w.e.f. 3rd to 14th July, 2022 at England , was provided the cricket equipments by ADGP Mukesh Singh in presence of SSP Ashok Sharma & members of the Veterans Cricket Jammu & Kashmir which includes Vivek Suri, Amit Kumar, Avinash Uttam, Jagpal Sharma and Vikrant Sharma.
While speaking on the occasion, ADGP Jammu appreciated Rajesh Gill former Ranji Player of the state for the hard work and passion towards the game of Cricket and the only player of UT of J&K to represent the country in the aforesaid international event. He further said that it is a great inspiration for all the Senior Cricketers to re-continue their cricket and can participate in the forth coming veteran matches.
He also conveyed his best wishes to Rajesh Gill for the best performance during the matches at England to bring laurels for the UT of J&K and the Country.
Vivek Suri also spoke on the occasion and said that the regular cricket practice and fitness of Rajesh Gill helped him in getting the selection at the International level.
While speaking on the occasion, Rajesh gill apprised the ADGP that he remained associated with the game of cricket, conducted cricket matches, coaching camps for the Cricketers for all categories under the banner of JK Police for the last 15 years, and because of these events he got selected at the International Level and to represent the Indian Veteran Cricket Team. Rajesh Gill thanked ADGP Jammu for the good wishes and Cricket Equipments
