Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 29: New Policies & Programs if drawn in the four walls of Air conditioned rooms by the bureaucrats in the National Capital, are of no use to the society unless same are re-drawn on ground and that too in the rural areas particularly in the far off remote, hilly, snow bound, inaccessible, backward & educationally, economically & socially undeveloped areas, the AAP Jammu in a press release issued here said adding that education sector is the only tool to make a society and the Nation developed in all spheres of life.
Referring to the new education policy, the release said that broadly it is aimed to replace 10+2 system with 5+3+3+4 structure expanding the age group of schooling from earlier 6-14 years to 3-18 years. As regards allocation of funds for Education sector is concerned, the release regretted that very less funds are being allocated under education sector in J&K as compared to Delhi with almost equal population and that is why education system in Delhi has become talk of the town. The release further expressed disappointment over ads on leading News papers worth hundreds of crores on " Swachh- Bharat" Abhiyan, where as the other side of the coin is that several hundred government schools are housed in Private accommodation and worst of it is that in many Hr. Sec. Schools, no toilets are available for girl students, which is a " NATIONAL SHAME", the release accused and added that in many Hr. Sec. Schools, either Principal or Lecturers posts are vacant or unfilled and RET Teachers are running the show. For example Hr. Sec. School Nandana has only 2 lecturers (recently appointed), out of 12 sanctioned posts & Hr. Sec. School Halaran has only 3 Lecturers (1 lecturer recently appointed), in Sub- Division Thathri, District Doda; and Hr. Sec. School Ligri & ATHOLI, Sub-Division Paddar, District Kishtwar, where 16 posts of lecturers are vacant, the release expressed dismay & regret that instead of huge Ads the infra structure at the grass root will certainly develop the system but alas! Who will bell the cat?
The release appeals the masses to read between the lines and judge for themselves as to whether government is banking upon Ads and misleading the Nation through deceptive and baseless Ads in news papers or on the Petrol pumps; playing with the sentiments of crores of highly educated, un-employed & frustrated youths in the name of Army recruitments which is no less than a joke with the youths and weakening of Indian Army with no experience & expertise, the release said and added that under such circumstances how our young Jawans will face the enemy with more training, duration of service & experience, with no future ahead, the release questioned and said whether our young Jawans will become "Barbers, Dhobi, Cooks, Chowidars" at the gates of friendly Industrialists, Tailors etc which is an open joke with our youths, the release maintained & exclaimed that in the name of Army recruitment, our valiant Army Officers have been made to work as spokes persons of the government which is highly objectionable & dangerous for unity & integrity of Nation, the release cautioned.
