Early Times Report JAMMU, June 29: "Dogra Jammu Haat" by Rural Development Department was inaugurated today by DDC Sharda Bhau at village Gandharwan, Akhnoor. The best Dogra flavors, pickles, biscuits, badiyas, hand made dresses will be available there at cheap prices. The Dogra Jammu Haat was inaugurated today under the "Umeed Scheme" of the Rural Development Department in Gandharwan Panchayat of Akhnoor town. District Development Council member Sharda Bhau inaugurated this haat, in which ADDC Jammu Ramesh Chander, BDO Akhnoor Rupinder Kour, BDC Chairman Kiran Pawar were also present on this occasion. Umeed Akhnoor block manager Manisha sharma explained that self-help groups had been formed from Akhnoor rural areas, in which women establish their own employment by collecting Rs 100 per member. This Dogra Haat has been built to give a platform to the local Dogra dishes, pickles, bags, clothes, etc. made by them. Local people can take advantage of this by coming to Panchayat Ghar Gandharwan. Sharda Bhau addressing on this occasion said that all possible help will be given to this haat to promote local products. The local Akhnoor mango pickle, badhiyan, sweet apples, etc. were the center of attraction.
