NAAC Accredited Government Degree College, Budhal with Grade 'B'

JAMMU, June 29: Government Degree College, Budhal, affiliated to University of Jammu, has been awarded Grade "B" on 28th June, 2022 by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC, an autonomous Institution of the University Grants Commission) for being an Institution imparting quality Education in rural areas to students from backward and poor families. The accreditation makes the college eligible for funds from University Grants Commission and RUSA. A peer committee constituted by NAAC under the Chairmanship of Prof. Susmita Prasad Pani, Executive Member, Odisha State Higher Education Council accompanied by Member Coordinator Prof. Bharati Gawali, Professor Computer Sciences, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University and Prof. Manish Pandya, Principal Tolani Commerce College, Adipur Gujarat visited the College from June 20-21, 2022 for a detailed study and assessment of the working of the College for 1st cycle of accreditation and grading it as per prescribed parameters of NAAC.
On this occasion, Coordinator IQAC, Ajaz Ahmed congratulated the efforts of the Principal, Faculty Members, Staff, Students, Parents and Alumni of College during the NAAC accreditation process and said, "We have every reason to be gratified of the endorsement of accreditation. This accreditation is evidence that GDC Budhal is committed to providing the highest quality education for their students. The tireless endeavours and achievements of the Institute have become a benchmark for other Colleges.
Prof. (Dr.) Mohd Mazzammal Hussain, Principal of the College said "It is an honour for our Institution to get ''B'' Grade accreditation which is valid for five years. Government Degree College Budhal managed it with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.15 on a 7-point scale.
